The collection includes twenty-three full-length profiles, three photo collages, and 126 duotones.
About the Author: As a writer, Iris Graville strives to give voice to the untold stories of ordinary people. As a nurse in Indiana and Washington, she listened to people s stories in hospital rooms, exam rooms, and homes. Twenty-five years later, disillusioned with the changes in health care, she shifted her work from caregiving to storytelling. She s written about homesteaders in Mexico, hurricane survivors in Nicaragua, life in a remote mountain village, and senior citizens in her rural community in the Pacific Northwest.Iris s interviews, essays, and memoir pieces have been published in national and regional journals and magazines. Her son and daughter are grown, and she lives on Lopez Island, WA with her husband.
