Paperback. A little girl named Zoe bakes bread with her grandmother. As they bake, Zoe becomes transported by the tales her grandmother's hands tell. The tales spring from her grandmother's rose-painted nails, a flower-banded wedding ring, and the way her fingers move and glide. These hands have many tales to tell. But only if you listen. My Hands Tell a Story is a critically acclaimed, award-winning, heartwarming picture book that captures the love and affection within a family as one generation passes history and wisdom down to another. The book emphasizes: Family Connections: Explore the loving relationship between Zoe and her grandmother and the stories and knowledge the grandmother shares through the life experiences etched in her hands. Discovering Identity: Watch Zoe learn more about her family history and how the experience inspires her to ponder her own future. Imagination: Enter Zoe's mind and see how she envisions her grandmother's past, and her own. Vibrant llustrations: Gaze at the unique, expressive, evocative visuals that help bring the story to life.
