Handel's main contribution to music is the development of the oratorio - a form of sacred musical drama sung by soloists and choir with orchestral accompaniment. He composed seventeen oratorios but the Messiah is the one which gave him lasting musical greatness. This arrangement is perfect for intermediate students looking to expand their repertoire.
