But just as significant was the struggle with his friends against antisemitism and the Mosleyite Blackshirts in the 1930s (Battle of Cable Street and all that), then his war service in the Merchant Navy . An eye-opening for me as it explains that my Leslie Luck Cup junior football winner's medal in 1964 was named after a Hurricane pilot killed in the Battle of Britain. Illustrations. 201 pages.
