The ultimate objective of technical education is to develop relevant skills, creativity and competence among the students to enable them to perform the tasks effectively and efficiently later in the world of work. The practical work comprises tasks which require some manipulation of apparatus or some action. To achieve the above objective, and to reduce the writing workload to some extent for the students, the present practical notebook was conceived and designed. This practical notebook contains 25 exercises from the topics, i.e. preparation of transfusion fluids, testing of raw materials, evaluation of surgical dressings, sterilisation of surgical instruments, glassware and other hospital supplies, handling and use of data processing equipment, fully covering the entire syllabus of this subject. In rapid technological advancement, the basic knowledge about the handling of computers is essential because it is used in hospitals to maintain records, medical research, drug information, inventory control and patient profile, etc. The special chapter covers all the computer-related topics comprehensively.
