126 leaves Octavo. Bound in 19th century polished brown calf with blind decoration. Joints a bit tender. All edges trimmed and dyed red. Marbled endpapers. Printed on vellum with the edges trimmed a bit close especially the top edge. Heavily illustrated throughout with decorative borders and full page illustrations. With many decorative initials added. Overall a pretty copy in a later binding. Provenance Jesuits of Antwerp with their bookplate. Albert Ehrman (1890-1969); Broxbourne bookplate. His annotations on reverse of front endpaper and dated 1927. Sold by Laurence Witten 1980 and finally in the sale of Alexandre Rosenberg 2021 and with his Picasso designed bookplate. Complete with Rosenberg's hand written notes and collation. See separate long description. Obviously very rare. Seller Inventory # 143498
