About the Author
Lynn Keegan, RN, PhD, AHN-BC, FAAN is one of the founders of the holistic health focus in nursing and a well-known leader in holistic nursing.' She currently works as Director of Holistic Nursing Consultants in Port Angeles, WA.' She has authored or co-authored 18 books and scores of professional journal publications and chapters in text books.' Her books include the double 2011 AJN Book of the Year Award, End of Life: Nursing Solutions for Death with Dignity, six editions of the co-authored, three time AJN award winning book of the year textbook, Holistic Nursing: A Handbook for Practice,' Healing Nutrition, 2nd ed., Healing with Complementary and Alternative Therapies, Healing Waters: The Miraculous Health Benefits of Earth’s Most Essential Resource, Profiles of Nurse Healers, and The Nurse as Healer, among others.' She served as editor for a 15 book series at Delmar Publishing in the 1990s. In addition she has delivered scores of presentations and keynote addresses in numerous countries throughout the world.Lynn was elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and is board certified as Advanced Holistic Nurse by the American Holistic Nurses Association.' She is past president of the American Holistic Nurses' Association and is on the board of many organizations and journals.' She has been on the faculty of several prominent universities teaching in associate degree programs through coordinating graduate nursing programs.' In 1991 she received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Cornell University – New York Hospital School of Nursing, and she is a three-time recipient of the prestigious American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award.
Cathie Guzzetta, RN, PhD, HNC, FAAN, is a nursing research consultant at Children's Medical Center of Dallas as well as director of Holistic Nursing Consultants in Dallas, Texas. She holds a BSN and an MSN from Marquette University and a PhD in Nursing from Texas Woman's University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and is certified in holistic nursing.Cathie is best known for her work in cardiovascular, critical care, and holistic nursing. She has served as editor-in-chief of the Mosby Yearbook's Capsules and Comments in Critical Care Nursing and co-editor of Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine. She has written many articles and has authored or co-authored 19 award-winning books including: AHNA Holistic Nursing: A Handbook for Practice (2000; recipient of the AJN Book of the Year Award), AHNA Standards of Holistic Nursing Practice: Guidelines for Caring and Healing (2000), Selected Readings in Holistic Nursing (1998), AACN Handbook of Critical Care Nursing (1997; recipient of the AJN Book of the Year Award), AACN Pocket Handbook of Critical Care Nursing (1997), and The Art of Caring: Holistic Healing with Relaxation, Imagery, Music Therapy, and Touch (1996).Her recent research has focused on family presence during CPR and invasive procedures. Her co-authored family-presence findings have won several awards, including the 2001 Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Research Dissemination Award, and have been featured on Good Morning America, NBC Dateline, CNN, Peter Jennings ABC World News Tonight and in Time Magazine, Newsweek, US News and World Report, The Washington Post, USA Today, Chicago Sun Times, and The New York Times. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to UK BOOKS STORE, London, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
