3rd edition, corrected, published 1800. Volume 1 (of 2). Book size - 8.1 x 4.9 inches, pp.4 + viii + 6 + 426, hardback in contemporaneous full leather binding. Book condition - Very Good ; contents clean, no foxing, some offsetting/tanning of paste-downs and flyleaves, no insciptions, bookplate, containing a coat-of-arms, inside the front board of "Charles Legh Hoskins Master ", inner hinges intact with binding firm ; dark brown full leather binding with spine ruled with gilt panels and title label ; corners a little rubbed and slightly bent, board edges sound and not rubbed, back clean with a few light marks consistent with age, back hinge creased and rubbed but not split, spine complete though with small loss of the top headcap, spine in good condition with slight rubbing of gilt but title remains complete and clear (please see photos), front clean, front hinge shows some splitting top and bottom but the board is very secure. Please see photos for indications of condiition and contents. Henry Kett (1761 1825) was a versatile English clergyman, academic and writer - Wikipedia provides a detailed biography. A scarce volume in its early binding.
