Contemporary full calf, raised-ribbed spine with gilt lettered label, boards with double gilt filet border and gilt tooled edges (poor - chipped at head and tail of spine and heavily rubbed and worn at edges and corners but binding still firm). Pp. [x] + xxviii + 532 + 40, title printed in red and black, pages in double columns, illus with 3 engraved vignettes, lacks medals plates (previous owner's inscription in contemporary hand at top edge of title page).
