First Edition. 8vo. xiv + [2] + 440pp + [16] publisher's catalogue at the back. Portrait frontis. (Marquis of Breadalbane with hunting dog), engraved titlepage, 14 full-page engraved plates, numerous text illustrations, chapter head and tail-pieces, illuminated initials. Internally very good, clean and bright with minor foxing to prelims only. Red gilt embossed morocco spine, heavily rubbed with some small chips to foot of spine.
