Each species has entries averaging about six pages of text, with distribution maps which are accompanied by specially commissioned colour plates, with egg plates at the end of each volume. The nine volumes comprise over 7000 pages and nearly 650 colour plates, in addition to numerous maps. and other illustrations in the text. An authoritative work in fine condition.
