Encadernação editorial luxuosa revestida em percalina castanha escura com motivos vegetalistas gravados a seco e título em hebraico gravado a ouro na pasta anterior. Ao centro, sob arco dourado, relevo em cobre representando Moisés com as Tábuas da Lei, com inscrições hebraicas «???» (Moisés), «???????» (Jerusalém) e «?????» (Bezalel). Guardas decorativas com xilogravuras em castanho representando cenas do Êxodo. Ilustrado no texto e em extratexto com reproduções coloridas de gravuras de Gustave Doré alusivas a episódios bíblicos, além de gravuras a preto e branco no texto, incluindo um diagrama do prato do Séder. Inclui no final [v] páginas não numeradas com partituras de cinco cânticos litúrgicos em notação musical ocidental com texto hebraico transliterado: Haudu, Ki lau Noeh, Chasal, Adir-Hu e Echod mi Jaudea. Exemplar com extensa dedicatória manuscrita a caneta azul na folha de rosto, datada de Ramat-Gan, 31 de Março de 1956, assinada por Zer e Ella Feldman e dirigida a um «Sr. Marques Pereira», evocando o povo de Israel e a liberdade encontrada no país de acolhimento. A dedicatória, redigida em português, constitui um testemunho das relações entre a comunidade judaica em Israel e emigrantes ou visitantes lusófonos na década de 1950. Edição bilingue hebraico-francesa da Hagadá de Pessach, o texto litúrgico recitado durante o Séder, a cerimónia familiar que celebra a libertação dos israelitas da escravatura no Egipto. A presente edição, sem data impressa, é anterior a Março de 1956, conforme atesta a dedicatória manuscrita. A Bibliothèque Nationale de France regista uma edição Sinaï de Tel Aviv datada de 5717 (1956-1957) com 64 páginas, cuja diferença de paginação sugere tratar-se de tiragem distinta. A obra abre com prescrições sobre a busca e eliminação do chametz (fermento) na véspera de Pessach, seguidas das instruções para a disposição da mesa do Séder e da ordem das catorze etapas do ritual. O texto principal apresenta as orações e bênçãos em hebraico com tradução francesa em paralelo, acompanhadas de notas explicativas sobre as prescrições rituais. A inclusão de partituras musicais no final, com indicações de andamento (Lento, Allegretto moderato, Moderato), reflecte a tradição litúrgica judaica na transliteração adoptada. A encadernação com relevo de cobre produzido pela escola de artes Bezalel de Jerusalém ? identificada pela inscrição na pasta ? confere ao exemplar um interesse artístico particular. A Academia Bezalel, fundada em 1906 por Boris Schatz, produziu durante décadas objectos de arte aplicada, incluindo encadernações e relevos em metal para edições litúrgicas e comemorativas, tornando-se um símbolo da identidade cultural israelita. You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Livraria Castro e Silva, Avenida Almirante Reis, 89D, 1150-013 Lisboa, Portugal, 351 213467380, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
