Description:
A luxurious Easton Press Collector's Edition of H. Rider Haggard's legendary fantasy adventure novel "She". First published in 1886, this Victorian classic follows an expedition into the heart of Africa, where explorers encounter Ayesha, the mysterious immortal queen known as "She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed." Combining adventure, myth, and philosophical reflection, the work profoundly influenced 20th-century fantasy and science fiction. This finely crafted 1992 edition includes a new introduction by Everett F. Bleiler and evocative illustrations by Frank Kelly Freas.
