Kevin Horak known as Wolfie to his friends is a British author and entrepreneur based in the middle part of England.
He worked as a front line Close Protection operative for over 20 years and ran his own successful bodyguarding business for over 17 years achieving considerable recognition domestically and internationally. He was responsible for some hundreds of private sector security operations including working with Royal families, the corporate sector, the entertainment business and working with grade ‘A’ celebrities.
He made the decision in early 2016 that he wished to step back from the Close/Executive Protection business to focus upon writing and his other business interests, however he still consults for 4 top end specialist security companies.
He has written two versions of his Close Protection book ‘The New Bodyguard’ that has sold worldwide.
In 2006 he set up his own record label ‘A Wolf At Your Door’ a rock and punk imprint that focused on home grown artists. The label was behind launching the careers of successful artists such as Mallory Knox, Deaf Havana and Lower Than Atlantis to name a few.
In the middle part of 2016 he made the decision along with retiring from the Close Protection business to bring the label to a close and he sold it to a much larger independent label.
Now days he writes comedy sketches and humorous accounts of everyday life and is currently near completion of a young adults fiction book and writing 2 screenplays. At the weekends he travels all over the country working in clubs and at VIP events as a professional DJ under the Mr Wolf name.
