Green weave cloth with spine & cover titles in gilt; 12mo; 376+7pp ads; illustrated with color frontispiece after painting plus drawings; color pictorial dust jacket. A facsimile reprinting of the original edition from 1883 which was "one of the very few early American works on firearms, and a book immediately recognized and accepted as the standard textbook of the gunsmithing profession. Historical firearms buffs and re-enactors will do well to acquire a copy of this title. Better to congratulate the good fortune of owning a copy as it is somewhat scarce."
