Other Democrats want to know more about guns to participate in the current national debate with factual information. Participating in the political gun debate without factual information leads to solutions that don't make a difference while missing the changes that can make our country safer. Advocating for gun regulations and limits without being adequately informed on the issues leads to failures in the political debate. Democrats can do far better with the information in this book.
Gun ignorance is our most significant defect as a country, and that applies to all sides of the political spectrum. Many other countries have a high percentage of gun ownership, with very few mass shootings and only a fraction of the gun violence we have in America today. That can change with this book. For the first time, all of the collateral issues involved in guns and shootings are explained in detail, no matter a person's objective, be it knowledge or gun possession.
Christopher Hurst is a former Democratic Member of the Washington State House of Representatives. He is also a retired veteran 25-year law enforcement detective, and Commander of a 15-city Homicide & Violent Crimes Task Force. Having served over 1,400 search warrants in his career, he is an expert in guns and tactical firearm encounters. He provides factual information on guns to Democrats.
