* The breakthrough investment strategy designed to make you money
* Why index funds are the wave of the future--the growth opportunities everyone will be talking about
* The best new mutual funds to invest in
* How to create the portfolio that will work for you--with minimal risk and maximum long-term rewards
...and much more!
How do the markets work? What is Modern Portfolio Theory? Where is the smart money investing today? Why are "passive" index funds the mutual funds of today and tomorrow?
The only book of its kind, THE ONLY GUIDE TO A WINNING INVESTMENT STRATEGY YOU'LL EVER NEED provides you with a road map to growth and investment opportunities that will help you become a successful investor who consistently makes money rather than loses it. In this groundbreaking guide, investment professional Larry E. Swedroe--a principal in the St. Louis firm of Buckingham Asset Management--describes the crucial difference between "active" and "passive" mutual funds, and tells you how you can win the investment game through long-term investments in such indexes as the S & P 500 instead of through the active buying and selling of stocks. In clear language, he shows how the newer index mutual funds out-earn, out-perform, and out-compound the older funds, and how to select a balanced "passive" portfolio for the long haul that will repay you many times over. This never-more-timely, indispensable book also provides you with valuable information about:
* The efficiency of markets today
* The five factors that determine expected returns of a balanced equity and fixed income portfolio
* Important facts about volatility, return, and risk
* Six steps to building a diversified portfolio using Modern Portfolio Theory
* The meaning of rebalancing and style drift
* Implementing the winning strategy
...and more.
Complete with supporting glossaries and appendices, THE ONLY GUIDE TO A WINNING INVESTMENT STRATEGY YOU'LL EVER NEED tells you everything you have to know to turn your portfolio into a winner and your investments into wealth.
