From the Author: Best YA Science Fiction of 1996
...At least that's what the critics are saying.

In "The Best SF, Fantasy and Horror Novels of 1996," Science Fiction Chronicle (April-May 1997) had this to say:

"The best young adult SF was Groogleman by Debra Doyle and James Macdonald, an old fashioned post collapse adventure that would have been perfect for the old Winston line."

Realms of Fantasy magazine (April 1997) called Groogleman: "A book filled with adventure and action -- a must read for the young fantasy lover."
