About this Item
1970. Bobbs-Merrill Co. Hardcover. 8vo (6.25 x 9 in) Brown cloth with reflective bronze titling on the spine. Dust jacket brown/red graphic with orange, yellow and white lettering. This is a vigorous telling of the man who led a fight for the return of Spanish Land Grants in northern New Mexico in the late 1960s. The movement was aggressive and gained nationwide attention. Richard Gardner weaves a good story. A middle section of black & white photos lends flavor to the narrative. The dust jacket has some fading on the spine but is whole and now secured in an archival sleeve. The book itself is clean sharp corners and bright pages. A piece of U.S. history worth knowing. In fact, the disputes continue still today. Seller Inventory # 000793
