Edward Simmen is Professor Emeritus in modern languages at the Universidad de Las Americas in Cholula, Mexico. He received his PhD from Texas Christian University. He is the author of numerous books on Mexican-American literature including With Bold Strokes: Boyer Gonzales, 1864-1934.
