Translated by Sheema Zeben Buehne. Introduction by Helen Adolf. 265pp, appendix, notes. Pev owner's name and course with refs on the half title page. This complete translation (German language on page versos; English on page rectos) combines 'scholarly accuracy with genuine poetic charm. The nuances of the original language have been carried over into the translation, and the atmosphere of naive sophistication has been subtly re-created. As a result, Gregorius appeals to the general reader as well as to the student of medieval thought and life; of another time, it still has meaning for modern man'. Size: 8vo.
