The conference was organized on 22nd and 23rd November 2024 at University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University – Hanoi. The conference is the 12th in the series of annual Conferences on International Economic Cooperation and Integration (CIECI), initiated in 2013 by the VNU-UEB. The theme of the conference, “Green Policies and Practices: Catalyst or Pressure for Trade and Investment”, reflects one of the most pressing debates of our time: the balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability. As global trade and investment deepen, the urgency of integrating green standards into policies and practices has never been greater.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu is the Vice Rector of University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University - Hanoi. She leads the research and partnership development activities of the University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 2009 at Yokohama National University, Japan, specializing in International Development and had experiences in working for Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam as the trade policy maker and other multinational companies before becoming a lecturer.
Dr. Anuj Kumar is Head of Research at Rushford Business School, Switzerland. He is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Malaysia, Honorary Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia, Honorary Professor at the European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology, Malta, and Visiting Faculty at VNU University of Economics and Business, Vietnam. In addition, he serves as Editorial Head at Confab 360 Degree, India’s first IAF-ISO certified company connecting global researchers through academic events and platforms.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Huong is the Associate Dean of Faculty of International Business and Economics, University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University - Hanoi VNU-UEB. She is a highly experienced lecturer and researcher with a master’s degree in Natural Resource Economics and a doctor degree in International Economics. She has led and participated in many national and international projects related to international economics and published numerous articles, books and book chapters on international economics, trade, investment, global value chain and environment.

You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
