Why should you know as much as possible about the issue on which the Green New Deal rests? Because, as a voter or policy maker, you will help decide whether to implement this proposed legislation. The Green New Deal is a multi-trillion-dollar plan introduced by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in February, 2019, and backed by almost one hundred members of Congress, including most of the Democrat presidential hopefuls.

The Green New Deal would replace diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles with electric vehicles and meat eating with vegetarianism. It calls for rebuilding nearly every structure in the United States. This rests entirely on the assumption that the earth has been heating up due to mankind's emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, as the media incessantly tell us.

Did you know that the global warming scare began in the United Nations IPCC as a political movement started by oil magnate Maurice Strong? Or that government agencies such as NASA and NOAA have been caught red handed manipulating temperature data?

The Green New Deal and Climate Change: What You Need to Know is the culmination of over ten years of careful research by a respected science teacher with a gift for boiling down science concepts so they can be easily understood. This book details the 46-year history of climate change alarmism that began in the 1970's with dire warnings about global cooling caused by mankind, and how that term changed first to "global warming" and then to "climate change" when the warming stopped. None of the predictions, ten-year survival warnings or tipping points has ever materialized.

This unique book also explains why the energy "solutions" specified in the Green New Deal are neither green nor sustainable: why wind turbines, solar power and biofuels are impractical and damaging to the environment. It presents compelling evidence of

• serious flaws in the science behind the entire manmade global warming scenario,

• the scientific impossibility that carbon dioxide, a trace gas, could be responsible for warming the planet,

• the fact that 1000 years ago the earth's temperature was about two degrees warmer than today,

• that sea level is still rising at the same rate as it has since then, and

• the fact, revealed in 2009, that prominent climate scientists were attempting to destroy other scientists who disagreed with their claims.

This is why The Green New Deal and Climate Change: What You Need to Know is essential reading for all voters and policy makers.
