Paperback. JL spent decades surviving-surviving a violent childhood, surviving two disastrous marriages, surviving spiritual manipulation that hid behind a pulpit. What she hadn't learned was how to live. In The Great Get Out, she tells the whole truth: how generational patterns of abuse shape our choices, how people-pleasing and false humility keep us small, and how predators thrive where boundaries are absent. With unflinching honesty and a scripture-rooted lens, she shows what it takes to move from captivity to freedom-the "wilderness" work of naming reality, setting guardrails, receiving real love, and choosing a renewed mind. Part testimony, part field guide, this memoir invites readers to break cycles, rebuild identity, and anchor healing yourself using Christ like principles and an honest reality check of self. If you've ever felt chained to your past, this book is a hand at your back and a light on the path. This item is printed on demand.
