Anne Bakeman's poems are sheer delight. Gravity/Levity encompasses everything from personal disasters to climate change to Trump, yet she infuses even the most painful subjects with light and love. Each of her poems is a treasure to read and to ponder.
-Julie Cadwallader Staub, author of Wing Over Wing and Face To Face
Anne Bakeman is an intrepid poet who writes with confidence and grace, inviting the empathetic reader to come close, to share remembered scenes and conversations, not once but again and again. Tender and reflective, these are elegant poems of trusting intimacy.
-Daniel Lusk, author of The Vermeer Suite and other books
Anne Bakeman's Gravity/Levity is a majestic portrait of ordinary American life. Her poetry is what the entire nation should understand and savor. We who have read it whisper again and again, "Thank you, Anne."
-David Huddle, author of Blacksnake at the Family Reunion and My Surly Heart
