Paperback. The Man, The Myth, The Leg-End. A story about a boy and his best friend, his Grandad. A pair of unlikely partners in crime whose adventures were equal parts chaos, comedy and lifelong lessons. Grandad wasn't the polished, wise old mentor you would read about in novels. He was rough around the edges, stubborn, gloriously inappropriate and had a talent for turning even the most mundane day out into a major police deployment. From 'borrowing' without the owners permission in local shops to questionable fashion statements, he had his own unique way of moving through the world. A way that often landed him and his grandson in hot water. But behind the laughs and madness was something deeper. He was loyal. He was fearless and despite his flaws (or maybe because of them) he became the best friend, the loudest supporter and the most important guide through life his grandson could ever ask for. Told with laugh out loud humour and unfiltered honesty, this is more than just a memoir of misadventures, its a heartfelt tribute to a man who proved that the best role models aren't perfect there real.
