To hold the light, to bear the pain, to go on and on as endless flame.
Born from the natural habit of life: to hold things close, secret, and sacred.
A message from Erfan
This is not a textbook, nor an instruction manual, nor just a collection of tools and techniques. It speaks to the soul, not the mind; it was meant for hearts, not just eyes.
This craft of ours, open-source intelligence (OSINT), has existed long before computers, machines, and these castrating distractions. The Grand Manifesto of OSINT is a visceral dive into the art and craft of uncovering secrets in a world drowning in information. It is dedicated to the broken souls, the wounded, the dreamers who never learn, and all human beings who cannot ignore the pull of what lies hidden.
Born from field experience, existential dread, and sleepless nights hunting for answers, this manifesto doesn’t hold your hand. Instead, it lights a torch in the darkness and hands it to you. It teaches you how to set yourself ablaze, to burn as a beacon, and to light the way.
Whether you’re a cybersecurity analyst, investigator, journalist, or someone who simply cannot look away when the truth is obscured, you’ll find yourself digging into methods, techniques, and case studies that reach far beyond the obvious. From doxxing, crypto tracking, and GEOINT to ADS-B, dissecting human networks, exposing digital footprints, and peeling back the layers of deceit, The Grand Manifesto of OSINT is not about tasteless, dry information. It is about shaping a mindset, a way of thinking, and confronting the awful truths of the world through this ancient craft of ours.
The tools have evolved, but some things remain eternal. You will learn to think like a shadow, see like a drone, and move like a ghost, faceless.
But a fair warning: this is not a happy story. It is a mirror held up to the mad chaos we inhabit, and you may not like what stares back at you. Within these pages, you will encounter the instruments of OSINT, the philosophies behind the hunt, and, perhaps, the truth about yourself.
Equal parts manual and manifesto, it is written with a brutal honesty that spares no one, least of all the author.
Hint, there is a puzzle built throughout the book...
The Grand Manifesto of OSINT isn’t just a book, it’s a wake-up call to those who dare to see beyond the surface. This is not a guide for the faint-hearted, nor a manual for casual curiosity. It’s a deep dive into the art and science of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), where fragments of data become powerful revelations. Every page challenges you to sharpen your skills, question what’s hidden in plain sight, and navigate the digital shadows with precision and purpose. If you seek comfort, look elsewhere. If you seek truth, this is your path.
Built on the foundation of CSI Linux’s Certified OSINT Analyst (CSIL-COA) course, The Grand Manifesto of OSINT is an essential tool for law enforcement, intelligence professionals, cyber forensics specialists, and investigative journalists. With real-world case studies, ethical guidelines, and hands-on techniques, this book transforms passive information gathering into a refined craft. OSINT is more than just discovery, it’s a relentless pursuit of clarity in a world clouded by deception. Are you ready to embrace the power of intelligence?
The Grand Manifesto of OSINT is the official courseware for the CSI Linux Certified OSINT Analyst (CSIL-COA) provided by CSI Linux and EchothisLabs.com.
