Life expectancy in the days when Jesus lived was little over 30 years and many believed that Jesus Christ's second coming would occur during the 1st century CE. It didn't happen. In 992 CE the Catholic Good Friday coincided with the Feast of the Annunciation, which people believed would bring forth the Antichrist, and the end-times events described in the book of Revelation. The Antichrist did not appear. In 1033, the 1000th anniversary of the death and resurrection of Jesus, many anticipated His second coming. It didn't happen. In 1284, Pope Innocent III computed the end date by adding 666 years onto the date that Islam was founded. Nothing happened. During the Black Plague of 1346 that spread across Europe, killing one third of the population felt like the end of the world was imminent. We kept going. In 1669 in Russia, 20,000 people burned themselves to death over a 20-year period to protect themselves from the Antichrist. The generation continued to live. The power and destruction brought upon the earth by the giant Nephilim and their offspring is the cause of the flood. The source of destruction originated in heaven and made its way to earth. Revelation 12:7-9: "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon; and the Dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great Dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
