Rosetti" al Academiei Romane. Oferind o descriere actualizata prin luarea in considerare a evolutiei limbii si a progreselor inregistrate in domeniul lingvisticii si al cercetarii gramaticale in ultimele decenii, Gramatica limbii romane si-a propus sa constituie o punte de legatura intre viziunea curenta (mai mult sau mai putin traditionala) asupra organizarii gramaticale a limbii romane [.] si cercetarile perioadei care i-a urmat; prin asimilarea tendintelor novatoare si prin adoptarea unui mod transparent atat in prezentarea fenomenelor, cat si sub aspectul dificultatilor specifice de interpretare si clasificare a faptelor, aceasta gramatica va putea oferi, speram, o deschidere catre si pentru studii ulterioare, dar si un temei si un imbold de innoire a predarii (gramaticii) limbii romane in scoala, in sensul intelegerii organizarii limbii si a mecanismelor de utilizare a sistemului in procesul de comunicare.
