About the Author
M.J. Johansen is a horror and thriller author known for fast-paced, character-driven fiction that finds the darkness hiding inside ordinary institutions - hospitals, small towns, families. Johansen's catalog spans supernatural horror, literary fiction, sci-fi, and historical adventure, including All Hallows Eve, My Guardian Angel, Unhallowed Ground, Widow's Hollow, Born a Genius, What Heaven Is Like, and The Fate of the Fancy. Doctor Death is Johansen's first foray into medical thriller territory, drawing on the real institutional chaos of the pandemic years to imagine how easily trust can be exploited when a system is stretched past its limits.
Johansen lives and writes in the United States and is currently at work on the next novel.
