Ein Schwerpunkt der Sammlung liegt auf der Zeichenkunst in Augsburg, einer Stadt, die im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert zu den innovativen Kunstzentren in Deutschland z�hlte. Gezeigt werden Entw�rfe f�r Deckenfresken und Altargem�lde, Vorlagen f�r Kupferstiche, Skulpturen, und Stammbuchbl�tter sowie Bildnisse und Landschaften. K�nstler wie u.a. Johann Rottenhammer, Johann Heinrich Sch�nfeld und Joseph Werner stehen f�r die hohe Qualit�t der Zeichenkunst im 17. Jahrhundert in Augsburg, Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner, Johann Georg Bergm�ller und Johann Evangelist Holzer vertreten sie im 18. Jahrhundert. Peter Prange, Autor und Kunsthistoriker, t�tig als freier Kurator, Verfasser der Bestandskataloge der deutschen Zeichnungen im Kupferstichkabinett der Hamburger Kunsthalle und des Salzburg Museums, Sammlung Rossacher. Zahlreiche Ver�ffentlichungen zur Zeichenkunst des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts in Deutschland und �sterreich.

Christof Trepesch, Autor und Kunsthistoriker, leitender Direktor der Kunstsammlungen und Museen Augsburg. Kurator zahlreicher Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland, Verfasser zahlreicher Publikationen zur Kunst des Mittelalters bis zum 20. Jahrhundert.
