Rara edizione originale (purtroppo comprende solo il primo volume di due) di una delle Piccole Repubbliche, da non confondersi con la seconda (1644), il cui frontespizio riporta erroneamente la data della prima.� L'autore (Greetsiel, Frisia Orientale,�1547�-�Groninga�1625),� fu storico, rettore della scuola latina di Norden (1579-87), posto che lasci� perch� calvinista. Fu quindi lettore a Leer e a Groninga, dove (1614) ebbe parte preponderante nella fondazione di quell'accademia. Scrisse la prima storia scientifico-critica della Frisia (Historiarum Frisicarum decades,�1616).� Buon esemplare.� Willems: 364.
