Grab Your Rocks & Throw: A Poetic Revolution is a collection of poems written by José "Jozer" Guerrero a poet, musician, educator and actor from Denver, Colorado. The poems in the book give you an inside look on the Chicano/Mexican American experience. Grab Your Rocks & Throw: A Poetic Revolution can be described as a roller coaster of emotions. You will laugh, you will cry, you will remember and reflect, but most importantly you will feel! The author covers topics such as immigration, educational and financial inequity, racism, stereotypes, the cycle of violence, drug abuse, parenting, and culture. The book can be a great read for folks looking for thought-provoking poetry, as well as for educators looking to expose students who may not connect or identify with the typical examples of poetry.
