Print on Demand. This book is a critical study of the pietistic elements that developed in pedagogical theory of the 17th century. The author analyzes the first traces of pietism in the educational reforms around the court of Duke Ernest the Pious of Gotha. By analyzing the changes in editions of the Gotha school method, the author demonstrates how the Lutheran orthodoxy prevalent at the beginning of the 17th century gradually developed into pietism by the end of the century. This book provides insights into the development of educational ideals and practices in Germany, and will be of interest to those studying the history of education, theology, and German religious and cultural history. The depth of the analysis of the changes over time in the Gotha school method and the clear connection of these changes to broader cultural shifts makes this book an excellent resource for anyone interested in the development of pietism in education. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

A. O. Pag. 66 widerlegt.
