Print on Demand. This book reflects on the moral complexities of the Christian faith as taught traditionally and argues that they create unnecessary obstacles for believers. The author holds that considering Scripture from an intellectual and moral standpoint as opposed to an emotional perspective enhances our understanding of God's profound love for humanity. By examining the nature of conscience and reason, the author shows that both tools are essential to disentangling Christianity's true teachings from untenable beliefs that have become associated with it over time. This book suggests that we are intended for our own discipline's sake to rise to conviction as to matters about which Scripture is not explicit. Its exploration of a personal narrative alongside careful consideration of specific scriptural terms and concepts, culminates in a fresh perspective on the true nature of redemption, allowing the reader to grasp Christianity's potential to profoundly move and inspire. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

IT has been a matter of deep regret to the writer, that this Essay, addressed especially to the Society of Friends on matters of vital importance to itself as a Christian Church, has remained entirely unnoticed by the Friend and the British Friend, and practically so by the Friends' Quarterly Examiner.
