Paperback. Good Samaritans Are Still Around is a compilation of short, true stories that accurately reflect everything from the struggles faced by immigrants arriving in this country to the beauty that surrounds us in our every day lives. The stories, brilliantly composed in poetic fashion, illustrate the dangers faced by members of the military, the pain and suffering endured by families through natural disasters, the jubilation that accompanies special celebrations, and the accomplishments of veteran clergy who have guided their flocks in a positive direction. Good Samaritans Are Still Around is an honest assessment of the many good deeds that are still performed by friends, neighbors, and at times, strangers. Although we have a tendency to overlook many of those deeds, this book demonstrates that there is good in each of us and that we should lead by example. It captures the spirit of what northeastern Pennsylvania is all about -- people caring for people.
