Print on Demand. This book presents a series of addresses by evangelical leaders and teachers upon one of the most important themes engaging Christian men of their day: the evangelization of Russia. A great interdenominational and international conference was held in 1918 in Chicago, and these addresses, presented largely as they were stenographically reported, convey both the excitement and the urgency of the time, when for the first time since the beginning of Christianity, such an immense population of white people had become accessible to missionary enterprise. The author presents not only the need for evangelization, but also provides a glimpse into the challenges faced by missionaries in Russia at the time. This book is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of Christian missions, or in the ongoing story of the church in Russia. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
