You love your dog. Your veterinarian wants the best for them. So why do appointments so often leave both sides feeling rushed, frustrated, and unheard?
Veterinary costs are rising and appointment times are shrinking. Dog owners are overwhelmed by conflicting advice, while veterinary professionals are carrying unsustainable workloads and emotional strain. Caught in the middle is the dog everyone is trying to help.
In Good Dogs, Broken System, veterinarian Dr. Tom Walsh offers a better way forward. The Coerenza Approach brings owners and veterinary professionals together around five connected pillars: Exercise, Enrichment, Environment, Nutrition, and Responsibility.
Through Cora’s unfolding journey, real-life case studies, and practical tools, you will learn how to recognize what your dog may be communicating, make more confident care decisions, and have more productive conversations with your veterinary team. You will also discover how small, intentional changes can improve behavior, mobility, health, and your dog’s sense of belonging within the family.
Better canine care begins when everyone works from the same understanding.
The Coerenza Approach provides the framework to make that possible.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Tom Walsh, DVM, CCAT, CCRP, MBA, is a veterinarian, small-animal rehabilitation specialist, and the creator of the Coerenza Approach.
After a successful career in telecommunications, Dr. Tom followed his lifelong calling to help animals. He spent nearly a decade in general veterinary practice before devoting his work to rehabilitation and physical therapy. He founded PrimePet Rehabilitation Therapy as a mobile service and later expanded it into a dedicated rehabilitation center in downtown Myrtle Beach.
Through his clinical work, Dr. Tom has helped thousands of animals recover from injury, regain mobility, and enjoy healthier, more active lives. His experiences with dogs, their families, and fellow veterinary professionals inspired him to develop the Coerenza Approach, a whole-dog framework built around Exercise, Enrichment, Environment, Nutrition, and Responsibility.
Dr. Tom is also a featured speaker at veterinary and technology conferences, webinars, and podcasts. His mission is to strengthen the partnership between dog owners and veterinarians so every dog receives more connected, thoughtful care.
