About the Author: The Campaign for Real Ale is a consumer organisation made up of members across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. This includes lobbying the UK government on behalf of consumers. The Good Beer Guide was originally a guide to finding quality real-ale on tap in pubs in the UK and from its humble beginnings in 1972 has now become an important part of recognising the best pubs, clubs, micro-pubs and bars across the UK. The guide features details of beers as well as a brief description of the pub. All pubs are chosen through a process of beer scoring and visits from CAMRA members. Each region selects the best pubs and these are represented in the guide. Due to Co-Vid19 this edition of the guide has been subject to further processes to ensure that as many pubs as possible have received a fair assessment.
