Not since Walt Whitman have I heard as visionary a voice of inclusion and longing, seeking to free the spirit of humankind, and setting us on a path of wise, honorable, authentic, participative life. George Kinder has envisioned a new world, a leap of civilization based on the foundation of fulfilling the true potential of the conscious human in a world hungry for change. He sets in motion the examined life of democratic freedom along with our global need for a new economic system rooted in true democratic principles of virtue and equality. Kinder points us toward a global renaissance. This is big! This is true integrity in action. I want to help create and live in the world that Kinder teaches us is possible.
~Eido Frances Carney Roshi, Olympia Zen Center, author of Kakurenbo or the Whereabouts of Zen Priest Ryokan
Model Integrity, Deliver Freedom... Sounds perfect to me! Thought leader, George Kinder, explores themes and innovations that will help us move from our current state to an enlightened state... a Golden Civilization. With no time to wait, mindful change must be our highest priority, for ourselves and our society.
~Sheryl Garrett, Founder, Garrett Planning Network
A massive project of vision and detail, starting with the values we need to evolve and sustain a dynamic world. Kinder’s mind ranges through mindfulness and wisdom teaching to the many ways wisdom must be enacted in political, economic, and cultural life. The range he covers is immense, but even greater is the scope of this heart-felt map for humanity, with freedom to create as its north star.
~Kathy Brownback, Instructor Emeritus in Religion and Philosophy, Phillips Exeter Academy
In this brilliant book, George espouses a new world order, known as a Golden Civilization. It is a perfect society, marked by an absence of war, hunger and poverty, and filled with kindness, harmony, self-knowledge, creativity and desire to reach humanity’s potential. It is a paradise on earth.
The Golden Civilization is built on 7 principles: entrepreneurial spirit, democracy, media freedom, trusted advice, trusted products, free markets, and free leadership. Freedom, trust, and great leadership then lie at the heart of this visionary society.
Everyone has a role to play in this inclusive society, by being mindful or aware of the present. Mindfulness practice is important because it brings peace and releases energy that arises from engagement with the present.
This book is powerful and truly motivational and will stimulate many interesting discussions and debates.
~Dr. Lien Luu, Principal Lecturer (Associate Professor) & Associate Head of School (E&C) Coventry Business School UK
