Ten years after escaping the chaos and bloodshed of the California Gold Rush, Ava Sharpe and Sara Lance have built a quiet life together in the Oregon wilderness. Far from the violence that once defined them, they have found peace in the mountains, surrounded by the land they love and the small circle of friends they trust.
But peace has a way of being interrupted.
When Sara discovers a frightened, starving child stealing from their food stores, neither woman can turn her away. Silent, traumatized, and fiercely independent, the young girl carries the scars of unimaginable loss. As Ava and Sara work to earn her trust, they uncover a horrifying truth: she is the sole survivor of a brutal attack that left her family dead and powerful men determined to erase the last witness.
With danger closing in, Ava and Sara must once again become the women the frontier has shaped them into fighters, protectors, and survivors. Calling upon old friends and preparing their home for war, they stand ready to defend the child who has unexpectedly captured their hearts.
In a land where justice is rare and survival is never guaranteed, one family will fight for the future they never expected to have.
Gold Rush 1860 is a sweeping tale of love, found family, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds forged in the untamed American West.
