Lissane Barola was born to be bartered.
Daughter of one of Gol’s most powerful families, she is promised to a brutal lord whose marriage will strengthen her father’s grip on the kingdom. Her duty is clear. Her future already decided.
But Lissane has given her heart to another.
Erun Cade is a blacksmith’s son—a dreamer, a poet, and a young man with impossible hopes of honor and glory. Their love crosses a boundary Gol’s ruthless nobility will never forgive.
When Lissane’s brothers discover their secret, blood is spilled and Erun is driven from everything he knows.
Yet their forbidden romance is only the first crack in a kingdom already beginning to fracture.
Across Gol, ambition turns brother against brother. Old powers stir. A mysterious enemy reaches from the shadows, and far beyond the schemes of mortal men, the gods themselves are moving toward a reckoning.
Soon Lissane and Erun will be swept into a struggle far greater than either imagined—a struggle of betrayal, vengeance, war and destiny that will decide not only who rules Gol…
…but whether Gol survives at all.
Gol is a sweeping epic fantasy of forbidden love, treacherous families, ancient gods and a doomed kingdom standing on the edge of legend.
