Logan is not human. He is a parasite older than memory, wearing the body of a boy he once called friend. For fifteen years, he lived by sacred principles, a promise to the only mother who ever loved him: never kill another human. But survival demanded a price he could not pay any other way.
Now he wears the body of Jens. His friend is dead by his hand. The darkness inside grows stronger every day.
Adam searches for the boy who saved his life and vanished in the flames. The Samariters, the secret order that destroyed the orphanage, now hunt Logan as a threat. And deep beneath the ruins, something ancient stirs. A woman who has slept for centuries, awakened by the spilled blood of Logan.
Her name is Lilith. No one knows if she is a god, a weapon, or something humanity was never meant to understand.
XAREON is no longer hidden. The name burns across government servers, city surveillance networks, and military databases. What began in one orphanage has metastasized across the world. NEXUS was never defeated. It was never one head. The organization was a hydra, and cutting off the orphanage only revealed how deep the infection runs.
Experiments continue in facilities scattered across continents. Clone soldiers. Serums that blur the line between life and death. Temples buried beneath laboratories where cults pray to obelisks that predate recorded history. And at the center of it all, a voice that speaks from every screen, giving orders no government dares refuse.
The principles Logan lived by are crumbling. The serpent Lizareth still coils invisible around his neck, speaking in riddles and watching him with ancient eyes. She knows what he is becoming. So does he.
The war that began in secret is exploding into the open. The world has already shifted while people slept. And the only question that matters has an answer that terrifies everyone who learns it.
Who or what is Lilith? And what does she want with Logan?
For readers who loved Blindsight, The Southern Reach, and Nexus. This is dark science fiction where consciousness is a weapon and humanity is the experiment.
