I am the god of hellfire, and I bring you . . .
In 1968, wearing a flaming helmet and sacrilegious robes, Arthur Brown hit the number-one slot worldwide with his hit single Fire. The English singer has rained a volcano of influence on pop culture ever since. From the legendary UFO club in London s psychedelic heyday, to working with Pink Floyd and the Pretty Things, Arthur Brown has an amazing story to tell.

Review
"Chronicles with i-dotting acumen the many ups and downs of this likeable cult legend... Marshall certainly gets it right, portraying him as an impulsive creative more concerned with personal development than any pop career path." --Mojo, March, 2006
**** "By means of Brown's own writings, and searching interviews, Polly Marshall uncovers a complex and compassionate character, an exceptional scholar and one-time sewage farm employee who rose to infamy and a position of great influence." --Classic Rock, March, 2006
"No-holds-barred account of psychedelic adventures in rock'n'roll"
--Port Eliot Lit Fest 2006
