Through wind, drought, fire, and water, a seed can be one of the most tenacious miracles on the planet. A seed is life, and life always finds a way. Follow how a seed magically beats the odds time and time again, to transform the world. Rich, detailed black-and-white illustrations splashed with color tell the story of how different seeds travel. A seed has many ways to move and make the world green. Milkweed uses feathery tails and wind to travel. Water lilies use water to move their seeds. Lupines explode their seeds far and wide. Burdock seeds use hooks and barbs to hitch a ride on a passing deer.
Children will learn that just like seeds, they possess the ability to grow, adapt, and thrive, no matter where life takes them. "Go Seed, Grow!" nurtures the spirit of resilience, determination, and the belief that every challenge is an opportunity for growth.
Note from the author/illustrator: "Out of all the books I've published, this is one of my favorites. This recent project is a very personal book for me. I put a lot of emotion and love into it as I was grieving the recent passing of my dad. I turned my pain into purpose and went back to the black-and-white pencil style of my early illustration years. My dad is a perfect example of a seed that was blown here, from a distant land and bloomed where he was planted. It inspired this book. All of us can defy the odds and bloom where we are planted-just like seeds. I hope you and your family enjoy it and find time to plant some seeds in your garden!"
