"Can you tell me what glows in the dark?"

So begins The Glow in Me, a tender invitation from a little guide named Rosie. She takes children by the hand into the wonder of light, where fireflies, glowworms, and stars each shine in their own way-through luminescence and incandescence. And then comes the sweetest discovery: we glow too, in our own special way, shining brightest when we speak kindly to ourselves.

Rosie invites children to say each affirmation in their loudest, proudest voices-I am loved. I am brave. I am kind.-turning every page into a moment of confidence, self-belief, and emotional awareness. A glow-in-the-dark craft carries the magic off the page and into their hands, a soft reminder that their light is always with them.

Perfect for story time, bedtime cuddles, and social-emotional learning lessons, The Glow in Me is a book that parents, caregivers, and teachers will return to again and again-a little spark of love to share with the children they hold dear.

Ilse is a children's author, illustrator, and mother who blends technical expertise with heartfelt storytelling. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's in Engineering Management from Johns Hopkins University, with additional undergraduate coursework in Positive Psychology. This blend of scientific curiosity and emotional resilience shapes how she writes for children.

The idea for The Glow in Me came after becoming a mother. Looking at her daughter, Ilse realized that one day she would be out in the world on her own - and that the greatest gifts we can give our children are self-love and confidence. As a military spouse, she's also seen firsthand how children grow stronger when they carry that light within them, no matter where life takes them. That belief became the heart of this book.

As the founder of Rosemark Publishing, Ilse debuted her first title, The Glow in Me, weaving the science of light into a story about self-esteem. By pairing affirmations with real scientific concepts, she invites young readers to discover their own inner light while sparking a lifelong love of curiosity and discovery.

Ilse is available for school visits and book signing events.
