LEADERSHIP IS RARELY WHAT IT SEEMS FROM THE SURFACE
Through the Glass Bottom: Navigating Leadership's Hidden Currents invites women leaders to approach leadership with clarity, authenticity, and grounded confidence. Drawing from more than thirty years of cross-sector experience, Luz Longsworth exposes the hidden currents that can pull leaders off course—unspoken expectations, cultural biases, self-doubt, and burnout that rarely show up in leadership manuals. Like a glass-bottom boat reveals what lies beneath the surface, this book offers a clear view of what's really shaping your leadership journey. With powerful storytelling and practical insight, Longsworth equips readers to set values-based boundaries, navigate difficult decisions without sacrificing identity, and lead with both strength and empathy. Each chapter offers lessons for leading in complex environments while staying rooted in purpose. Whether you're facing career-defining decisions or daily leadership dilemmas, this book speaks to women who want to lead well and live whole—without having to toughen up, play small, or go it alone.
