Neuware - Getting and Giving is not a book of complicated poetry.I.C. Remlik isn't trying to be Shakespeare or impress a room full of literature professors. A retired counselor who spent a lifetime listening to people, Remlik began writing these poems during the pandemic while separated from his aging mother. What started as a simple way to stay connected and mentally active became a collection of humorous, heartfelt, and thought-provoking reflections on life.Organized into four sections - Getting Poetic, Getting Silly, Giving Feelings, and Giving Help - these poems explore family, faith, relationships, growing older, helping others, and finding joy in everyday moments. Some poems are playful. Some are serious. Some offer lessons learned from decades of listening to people and helping them through life's challenges. All of them are written with honesty, warmth, and a deep appreciation for ordinary people. In a world filled with noise, Remlik's poems return to something simpler: common experiences, common emotions, and the quiet wisdom that can be found in everyday life. They remind us that being heard matters, that listening is a gift, and that a little kindness and humor can go a long way.Funny, inspirational, entertaining, and sincere, Getting and Giving is a collection for anyone who appreciates the simple truths that connect us all.…
