Item description from seller

(There is a faint waterstain {see photo] that begins on the title page and extends into the preface to page xi. It disappears after that and does not affect the text). A collection of 103 prose poems written by the Indian polymath, poet, and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore. Originally written in Bengali in 1910, Tagore translated the poems into English prose himself in 1912, featuring an introduction by the Irish poet W.B. Yeats. The publication brought Tagore international acclaim, leading to him becoming the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
