She couldn’t help everyone. The problem felt too big, the need too great. But she could help one. And that made all the difference.
The Girl Who Saved One is a moving picture book about the extraordinary power of compassion. It teaches children that you don’t have to save the whole world — you just have to care enough to start.
Written for children in K–6 grades, this beautifully illustrated story brings social-emotional learning to life through a narrative that inspires empathy, kindness, and the courage to act. Aligned with CASEL competencies, it’s a meaningful addition to any home bookshelf, classroom library, or counselor’s collection.
Perfect for:
• Character education and kindness curriculum in elementary schools
• Morning meeting read-alouds and discussion starters
• Parents teaching children about empathy and helping others
• Community service and volunteering lesson plans
From the Little Guiding Light Books series — picture books that give children the emotional tools to navigate life’s biggest moments.
Because even the smallest act of compassion can change someone’s whole world.
